Unit type annotations
Annotations are small, customizable labels or text highlights that you can attach to each unit type, with up to 5 annotations per unit type. Annotations will appear in your Customer Portal to draw attention to key details such as offers or notes on specific unit types.
Example:
- Highlighting a "Limited offer only" or "Discount"
- Call to actions: "Get it now"
- Showcasing promotions like "Best deal"
Overusing annotations not only dilutes their impact but also clutters the interface, making the UI look crowded and less appealing. Keep annotations minimal to maintain a clean, effective design that directs attention to key details.
Where and how to set up unit type annotations
- Log into your Management Portal and navigate to your site.
- Click on Unit types and select one from the list.
- On the specific unit type, scroll down and find the 'Annotations' section, then click the (+) symbol.
- Enter the following information
- Type: Choose either text or ribbon
- Position: Select either price_above or price_below
- Text: Add your custom text
- Color: Pick a color from the available options
Once you're done, click the "Add annotation" button to save changes. At the top, you can see a preview of how it will appear in the customer booking portal.
How annotations work with dynamic pricing
Price before display: If you have a dynamic pricing setup and the old price is higher than the new price, the system will automatically show the previous price crossed out and the new price alongside it.
- Annotations with dynamic pricing: Annotations such as "Limited time offer" can still be manually set, even with dynamic pricing enabled. These labels will appear alongside the automatically updated prices.
