In Storganize, your unit types and individual units can have different prices. While these are often the same, it's important to know which price is used depending on how the move-in is processed. The prices for your unit types are always what appears in your Customer Booking Portal. So, any price you set for a unit type will be what new customers pay when they book online. If you update a unit type price or use the dynamic pricing feature, this new price will be applied immediately in the Customer Portal for all future move-in orders.
When processing a move-in from the Management Portal, however, the system uses the individual unit price. You can see these unit prices on the right-hand side of your units list. Keep in mind, that updating a unit type price does not automatically update the individual unit prices.
If you need to adjust individual unit prices, this can be done in bulk quickly with a CSV unit update.
When processing a move-in from the Management Portal, you also have the option to manually edit the deposit and rental amount. Any changes you make will appear in the Rental Details section after the move-in is complete. The actual price you entered will be listed, with the default price crossed out to show the difference.
This feature allows you to offer more hands-on custom pricing if you have staff on-site and handle move-ins manually from the back end. If you primarily rely on online bookings, the unit type price will always be the price new customers see and pay when booking.
