View the transcript To schedule a move-in through the Management Portal, start by navigating to your site. Click on the "Units" tab and select the unit you want to assign. You can either scroll through the list or search for the unit directly using the search bar.

Once you're on the available unit's page, click the green "Schedule Move-In" button. In the "Schedule Move-In" window, start by selecting the customer. If the customer profile hasnโ€™t been created yet, you can quickly do so by clicking the plus icon, here. Otherwise, search for the customer by entering their first or last name.

Next, choose the move-in date. You can select todayโ€™s date, a future date, or even a past date if you're entering a historical move-in.

The deposit and rental price will default to the individual unitโ€™s listed rates, but you can adjust these amounts for this specific move-in if needed.

You also have the option to add a "prepayment period". From the dropdown, you can select "between 2 and 36 months." If you select a prepayment period, that amount will automatically be added to the move-in invoice. If no prepayment is needed, simply leave this setting alone, or select "1-month".

Next, you can apply a "promo code". The dropdown will show any existing promotions youโ€™ve set up in your main settings. If no promotions are available, or if you want to offer a custom discount, click "Custom" to create a unique promotion for this customer.

After entering all the necessary information, click "Schedule Move-In" to reserve the unit and create the move-in job.
