View the transcript If you need to add multiple customers to your Storganize account, you can do this in bulk using a data import.

In the Management Portal, go to the "Users" tab in the navigation bar. Click on the menu button, then select "Import Users." In the window that opens, click on the template link, here, to download the import template.

This will open the Storganize import template in a new tab as a Google Sheets document. To edit the template, click "File," and either download it as a Microsoft Excel or CSV file to edit in another program, or click "Make a copy" to work directly in Google Sheets in your browser.

Once you've created your own copy of the template, go to the "Users" sheet. The yellow columns—email, first name, and last name—are required fields. If you don't have an email address for a customer, you must use a fake placeholder email, which you can update later.

You can also fill in the optional fields in the white columns if you have that information. The "Invoice Date" column is only used in valet storage accounts, so if you're using the self-storage version of Storganize, you can delete this column.

Next, fill out the default system fields for address and phone number. There are also two columns for billing information. If you have existing billing IDs associated with a payment gateway like Stripe, you can enter those. If not, you can delete these columns as well.

Now, start adding your customers’ information to the spreadsheet, with each row representing one customer. When your document is ready, download it as a CSV file by clicking "File," then "Download," and selecting "Comma-separated values (CSV)."

Once your CSV file is ready, return to the Management Portal. Go to the "Users" tab, click on the menu button, and select "Import Users." Click the "Import" button, choose the CSV file from your computer, and click "OK."

You will see a pop-up confirming the number of users that will be imported. If everything is formatted correctly, clicking "OK" will import all of these customers into your account at once.

If there are any issues with the file, you'll see errors listed for each row, along with the reason for the failure. You can also click the "Download Errors" button to get a detailed report. If you're still having trouble and you believe you have formatted everything correctly, contact Storganize support for assistance.
