View the transcript To create a unit type at an existing facility in Storeganise, first click on the site in your Management Portal. Then, click on the Unit Types tab.

You will see a list of the existing unit types at this location. To create a new one, click the plus button. Enter the title of the unit type, the deposit amount, and the rent amount. If you do not charge a deposit, simply enter zero.

Each unit type also has a corresponding code. This code will be displayed in the URL path in your Customer Portal during checkout. It cannot have spaces, uppercase, or special characters, and it is recommended to keep it short and simple. You don't have to come up with your own code, however. If you leave this field empty, the system will automatically create a code from the title you've entered.

Once you've filled out this information, click the Add Unit Type button. You can now click on your newly created unit type in the list to further customize its content.

To upload a new image, click on the picture.

To add a subtitle, edit the unit type detail section.

To add a longer detailed description, use the general information field, which supports markdown formatting.

To add any associated unit-type features you've previously created, do so here. All the content you enter into the details tab will be customer-facing in your customer booking portal.
