View the transcript Setting up a unit type and the corresponding units for a new site in Storeganise only takes a few minutes.

First, log into your Storeganise Management Portal and click on your new site. In the Overview tab, you'll see a guide called "Complete Your Site Setup." Click on the "Add the First Unit Type" button.

A window will open with a simple three-step guide to quickly create your first unit type and units.

In the first step, enter the description of your unit type by providing a title and a subtitle.

Next, select any related unit features you have previously created, and choose a new image. If you don't have any illustrations or pictures, you can use the default Storeganise image. On the right-hand side, you'll see a preview of how this content will be displayed in your customer booking portal.

Once you have filled out this information, click "Next." Here, enter the desired deposit and rent amounts. If you do not charge a deposit, simply enter zero in this field. After entering this information, click "Next."

Finally, enter the information for the individual units. Start with the dimensions: width, length, and height of the units. Then, enter the floor that the units are on. By default, this will start at Floor 1. The floor you enter for your units is important as each floor has its own separate sitemap.

Enter the names of the units. You can create multiple units at once by entering the first and last numbers of the unit names, separated by a colon. For example, if you enter 101:120, you will see on the right-hand side each unit that will be created.

This example will create 20 units, starting at number 101 up to 120, each with identical dimensions, pricing, floor, and description information.

If you need to edit any of this information, you can click back to the different tabs. Once you are satisfied with the content, click the "Create Units" button.

Just like that, you have created your first unit type and corresponding units at your new site. If you would like to create another set of units for a different unit type, click the plus button to go through this process again.
