How to index your website

If you are using a custom domain for your company's website the following steps will walk you through how to verify your website with Google Search Console and submit it for indexing. This will make your website searchable on Google for greater visibility to your customers.
Note: if you utilize the Storeganise website builder, a custom domain is required to go through this process
Steps
- Use your custom domain to load Storeganise at your company's domain.
- Verify your website via Google Search Console, utilizing the Domain name provider method.
- Request indexing for your URL in Google Search Console:
- Enter your URL in the search bar at the top of the page
- Click on REQUEST INDEXING
- You will receive confirmation that indexing has been requested with Google
This process can take up to a week. You can check the status of the request in your Google Search Console dashboard.

If you started using your website you Storeganise subdomain and Google indexed it before you enabled your custom domain, it will take some time for Google search to properly index and remove the subdomain from search results. Insert an element To speed up this process, make sure that all of the internal links in your website point to your custom domain, not the site on Storeganise subdomain (mycompany.storeganise.com).
