Deleting/archiving a unit

Units in Storeganise can be deleted/archived if they are no longer needed, or if they were imported incorrectly.  If by any chance the unit you want to archive is already populated to the sitemap, make sure to delete it before archiving it. To proceed, follow the steps below:

  1. First, make sure the unit is empty / 'available'.
  2. Click the 3 dots menu at the top right of the unit page

  3. Select 'Block move-ins' and enter a reason why you are going to archive the unit, e.g. 'no longer in use'

  4. This will ensure the unit cannot be reserved for online booking
  5. Now the unit can be archived; click the 3 dots menu again and select 'Archive'.  Enter the reason, like you did previously and click OK to confirm.
  6. The unit is now archived and won't appear in search results or booking requests.

Please note that archiving units cannot be undone; if you just want to stop a unit from being reserved for a while (e.g. while it is being cleaned) then simply 'Block' the unit as outlined above.

Using bulk update

  5. Save the file and go back to the units section
  6. Select 'update unit' to import the saved file and the unit state should be updated

Deleting a unit type

Unit types in Storeganise can only be deleted if there are no units associated with them. Once confirmed, you can follow the steps below to delete a unit type:

  1. Navigate to the site where the Unit type is located.
  2. Under Unit type details, change the status to Hidden.
  3. Click the three dots (⋯) on the right and select Delete unit type.

Note: Deleting a Unit type is irreversible. If you only need to make it temporarily unavailable, consider setting it to Hidden instead.
