Customizing content on your Customer Portal

Wurd is the custom content management system (CMS) in Storeganise. Wurd allows you to edit the default system text of your Storeganise Customer Portal.

Formatting

Wurd (CMS) uses Markdown for formatting. Markdown is a lightweight markup language for creating formatted text using a plain-text editor, you can create lists, tables, titles, etc.For more information, you can check the Markdown cheatsheet for formatting examples and use Markdown editor to create texts.

Entering edit mode

Updating the URL to enter edit modeTo be able to edit content on your website, you need to be in 'Edit' mode. To do this:
  1. Go to the page you want to edit e.g. 'business.storeganise.com'.
  2. At the end of the URL of your page, add '?edit' e.g. 'business.storeganie.com?edit'
  3. Now you are in 'Edit' mode.
  4. If you aren't logged in to Wurd, please follow the instructions below.
How to do this for different languagesIf you have different versions of your website for different languages, you can edit specific content for specific languages. For example, if you want to edit the Spanish content on your website:
  1. Go to the page you want to edit and add the following to the end of the URL: '?edit&lang=es' e.g. 'storageco.com?edit&lang=es'
  2. The 'es' part of the URL represents Spanish. For example:French would be ' ?edit&lang=fr'German would be ' ?edit&lang=de'Swedish would be ' ?edit&lang=sv' etc..
  3. Now you are in 'Edit' mode for your specific language.

Logging in to Wurd

Once you are in 'Edit' mode, you need to login to Wurd to edit content on your website.
  • To log in to Wurd, click on the pencil icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your page in 'Edit' mode:
  • Input your login details, Please note that the login credentials for Wurd are separate from your Storeganise account. To access Wurd, you'll need to reset your password:
You are now logged in to Wurd.

Editing content on your page

Now that you are in 'Edit' mode and have logged in to Wurd, you can edit the content on your website.Editing text1. In 'Edit' mode, hover over the text you want to edit.2. A pencil icon will appear on the top left-hand side of the text:
  1. Click on the pencil icon, and edit the text.
  1. Click on the green tick once finished.

Publishing changes

Once you have made the necessary changes to a page, you must publish them in order for them to go live on your website. Publishing is done for each page so if you have made changes to different pages, you must publish separately for each page.When there are new changes not yet published, a green Publish icon will appear in the bottom right of the page. Click this to publish the changes.

All changes to the default system text will be removed and deleted if you unsubscribe to the Wurd service.
