Add-on: HubSpot
This guide shows how to install, authorise, and test the HubSpot Add-on for syncing contacts between Storeganise and HubSpot.
1. Install and authorise the HubSpot Add-on
Please note this section is for demonstration only. Currently, all Add-ons must be installed by a Storeganise team member. Contact us to install an Add-on.
If your Add-on has already been installed, you can skip to "Authorise Hubspot"
- Go to the Add-ons page in your Storeganise admin portal.
- Find the HubSpot Add-on and click Install.
- Click Enable to view the authorisation link
Authorise HubSpot
- Click the authorisation link provided on the Add-on page
- Log in with your HubSpot credentials.
- Select the HubSpot account you want to connect.
- Approve the connection to Storeganise.
- Return to Storeganise.
- Refresh the page to confirm the HubSpot refresh token field is populated.
- This confirms that the integration is active
2. How syncing works
The integration supports two-way syncing between Storeganise and HubSpot:
Storeganise → HubSpot
- When a user is created or updated in Storeganise, a contact is synced to HubSpot.
- The contact includes details such as name, email, phone number, and address.
HubSpot → Storeganise
- When a deal is marked as Closed Won in HubSpot, the associated contact is synced to Storeganise.
- The sync pulls key contact details such as name, email, phone number and address.
3. Capabilities and limitations
Supported
- Two-way syncing of user data for supported fields (name, address, email & phone)
- Syncs work with standard and special characters
- Bulk user updates in Storeganise sync users from Storeganise to HubSpot
- Syncing works with incomplete profiles (e.g. no address)
- Syncing of deal data when marked as Closed Won in HubSpot
Limitations
- Contacts in HubSpot are not synced to Storeganise unless linked to a Closed Won deal
- Updating a contact in HubSpot does not currently update the user in Storeganise (planned for a future release)
- Field mapping accuracy is maintained only for supported fields (name, address, email & phone)
- Custom fields currently not supported (planned for a future release)
5. Notes
- A user custom field is created in Storeganise and stores the HubSpot contact ID.
- This helps confirm the link between users in both systems.
