In the Storeganise Website Builder, the content of your webpages is managed by adding and customizing different types of blocks. To get started, click on one of your pages in the "Website" section of the Management Portal to open the page editor.Blocks are small, customizable sections that you piece together to arrange the content of a page, and there’s a predefined list of block types you can choose from. To access this menu, simply click the "Add a Block" button, located at the bottom of the webpage. If you’re creating a page from scratch, you’ll see a message indicating there’s no content yet.
If you’re editing an existing page, just scroll to the bottom, where you’ll find the "Add a Block" button above the footer. Clicking it will open a menu showing all the available block types. Each block type has a unique layout and different functionality. For example, the "Hero 1" block is commonly placed at the top of a page and is ideal for high-level content like a business name, a branded image, and call-to-action buttons such as "Book Now," for your website’s homepage. Other block types have specialized uses. The "Features" block lets you add items with a wide range of icons to choose from, while the "Sites" block dynamically pulls data from your management portal, displaying the site details configured in your site settings. When browsing the block menu, you’ll see a small preview of each block type, giving you an idea of its layout and purpose. When you add a block, it’s placed at the bottom of the page by default. You can rearrange or delete blocks by clicking the three-dot menu at the top-right corner of any block. This menu lets you move blocks up or down, change their type, or delete them entirely. Editing a block is simple and flexible. Most blocks allow you to click directly into the content to edit text or add an image. You can upload an image file from your device or link to an image using a URL. For more advanced settings, click the pencil icon at the top of the block. Each block type has unique options in this edit window, so it’s worth experimenting to see which block works best for your page. Most blocks also support Markdown formatting and basic HTML elements like hyperlinks, giving you more control over the formatting of content. Once you’ve added and customized your blocks, don’t forget to save your work. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save" button to make sure all your changes are applied.
