Add-on: Sensorberg access control
Please note this section is for demonstration only. Currently, all Add-ons must be installed by a Storeganise team member. Contact us to install an Add-on.
Enable the Add-on
- Navigate to Sites > [Your Site] > Add-ons and click the + icon.
- Select Sensorberg from the list and install it.
Configure the Add-on
- Add your Sensorberg credentials - Client ID & Client Secret - to the Add-on settings fields
- You can get these credentials from your Sensorberg rep.
Activate the Add-on
Complete the setup and then click Enable to activate the integration.
Note: Units/existing units would need to be created manually in Sensorberg, both units and group-memberships.
How the Add-on works
Access groups and units
- Units: These represent the storage spaces in Storeganise. Each unit can be mapped to a specific access group in Sensorberg.
- Access groups: Manage access permissions. Access groups in Sensorberg are linked to Storeganise units via the External Identifier field.
Mapping access groups
- Navigate to the Sensorberg dashboard and locate the access groups.
- For each access group, ensure the External Identifier matches the name of the corresponding unit or custom identifier in Storeganise.
Synchronizing units and users
Move-ins
- When a customer rents a unit, Storeganise assigns them to the appropriate Sensorberg access group.
- In Sensorberg, you can find this under group membership.
- Access credentials (e.g., PIN or access codes) are generated and synced with Sensorberg, granting the customer access.
- The customer’s access details, including access codes, are visible in the unit rental in the "Rental custom fields".
Move-outs
- When a customer moves out, Storeganise removes their membership from the Sensorberg access group, revoking access.
- Access credentials are automatically deactivated.
Overlocking units
- If a payment is overdue, Storeganise flags the unit and overlocks it in Sensorberg, restricting customer access.
- Once the payment is cleared, the unit is unlocked, and access is restored without changing the access code.
Viewing and managing access
In the Sensorberg dashboard, you can view and manage:
- Access groups: Reflect the current permissions for units.
- Memberships: Shows which customers have access to specific units.
- Access codes: Displays the current PINs or codes assigned to customers.
- In Sensorberg, when you click on the user and go to the assignment section, the access code will show only the first and last 2 digits.
Monitoring memberships
- A unit with an active customer will show the customer assigned to its access group.
- Overlocked units will display an end date for the customer's membership, indicating access has been revoked.
- Once a customer moves out, the unit's group membership count will reset and remove the user from the list.
Troubleshooting
- Sync delays: Access updates may take up to 30 seconds to reflect in Sensorberg. Refresh the dashboard to confirm changes.
- Access errors: Ensure that unit names in Storeganise and External Identifiers in Sensorberg match.
- Manual sync: If discrepancies occur, manually trigger a sync from the unit rental page in Storeganise under Rental custom fields > Sensorberg resync.
