Website builder: Pages
The website builder creates and links different Pages. A new account starts with one blank page as the home page. Creating additional pages allows for easy navigation. There is no limit to the number of pages you can create.
In the Main Settings of the management portal, access your list of pages under the Website section. Here, you can create new pages, view the full list, and see live or unpublished pages at a glance.
Creating and editing a page
Note: By default, a brand-new account will begin with one completely blank page. This will act as your home page. It is recommended to open and begin editing this page before creating additional pages.
To create a new page for your website, first navigate to the Website section found within the Main Settings of the management portal. Then, click on the + button in the top right corner.
This will open a window where you will enter the following information:
- Title: This is the name displayed in the browser tab/window. It should be clear and relevant to the page content (E.g., Home, About Us, Contact Us, FAQs, etc.)
- Slug: This will be the end of the URL string when navigating to this page. All slugs by default will begin with /p/ - this cannot be changed (e.g., /p/locations).
- SEO Description: List keywords relevant to the content of this page to optimize the page for search engines.
To edit/update a page, you can simply click on the page and click on the top 3-dots button and choose Update metadata.
Linking a page
Once you create a page, it will be added to a list for quick and easy link creation.
For block types with links, you can create and edit link buttons using the list of pages you created.
For instance, clicking the '+ Add link' button in the 'header1' block type will open a window to browse the list of existing page links.
Choose the page to redirect the link.
To create links in block types without default link buttons, use simple HTML. Learn how to create custom hyperlinks here.
Useful links
You are not restricted to only linking to pages you have created. You will most likely also want to have links and buttons throughout your website that will navigate to pages within the customer booking portal.
